We stayed at the Valley Hi Motel because it was close to where our niece's wedding was to be held. The proprieter was very accomodating to us by letting us check in early so we could prepare for the wedding. He provided us with an iron and ironing board so we could refresh our clothes and drive the added distance to the wedding location and arrive on time. We would definitely stay at this motel again if we were in that area. The town of Winter Park, where it was located looked very charming, too, although we didn't have time to explore it.
The only downside was the lack of air conditioning, as it was very hot while we were in that area. A fan to just move the air around would have been nice, because we didn't like the idea of having the windows open with no screens, while we slept, but we did not ask if they were available, and we were told when we checked in that there was no air conditioning.

It was quiet and peaceful and close to resturants.
No continental brkfst.

Friendly and informative owner. Convenient to all restaurants and shopping. Located in a nice little quaint town. I highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful location. Wonderful, helpful, friendly proprietor. Very nice, spacious rooms.
Having to leave to continue our trip.

Owner was super friendly, place was old but room was spatious and clean and the bed was comfortable. We were impressed at how nice the place was given the rate. The outdoor hottub in the snow was awesome.
-
No air, no hot water, real old!
-
Very comfortable beds and quite spacious for the price. Dog fee of $10 seems very reasonable. We stayed in the off season, so I'm not sure what the value is at other times, but we were certainly pleased with our stay.

The motel is right across the street from great restaurants and shopping! Staff was very helpful when I forgot my hair dryer, they brought one up to the room right away.

room was very clean and spacious, owner very helpful

Easy walk to restaurants, helpful staff, easy drive to Winter Park resort.
Hotel is right on Hwy 40 and windows open onto the highway. OK in Winter, but not for Summer. There's no air conditioning and the windows face West. The room gets hot in the afternoon and the only way to cool it off is to open the windows and listen to the traffic (including trucks) about 50 feet away. With the windows closed, the traffic noise is not a problem, so a cool weather visit would not have these issues.

The owner, Joe, was exceptional! He was able to offer suggestions on where to eat in the area that fit what we wanted. The rooms were very big. Although we were there in the summer, it would be an excellent place to go to ski at Winter Park. There were ski lockers on the first floor for the second floor rooms.
-
Quite simply one of the finest motels I've ever visited, particularly quality of room and the staff, at an incredible price

The staff was very prompt and polite!! The room was clean and larger then I expected, very pleased.
The only thing I wish was better was the beds they were too hard for me, maybe ok for others but it was not best for me.
-
Location in town and extremely clean. Enough free parking. Hot tub.

The room was huge...felt like an apartment! The interior was not new but very clean. Joe is a very friendly hotel manager. He was very responsive and engaging and gave me good information about Winter Park city and resort.
